Working to Keep Our Community Safe

Hello,

It's been a while since I've posted an update but I have been busy in and around my wards, and also in other areas of Thanet. So a brief update:

In the month of October I arrested 12 suspects for various offences. Persons had been identified as breaking onto vehicles overnight in Cliftonville and also shoplifting at WWX. These three offenders were located by myself, arrested, and charged with numerous offences, and are now awaiting their court date. I attended a call to Tesco Extra where a male had stolen approximately £2000 worth of goods, and was also identified as being the offender for a similar theft in Maidstone. He was duly charged and bailed to court. Whilst assisting a colleague on foot patrol in Margate a young male was arrested by myself on suspicion of drug supply following a proactive stop and search, and the investigation into this is still ongoing. One male was arrested for a Recall to Prison, another on suspicion of an Attempt GBH, and as part of Kent Police's VAWG strategy I arrested 2 males for two separate domestic incidents, one of whom was located in Dane Valley attempting to get home after an hour long search for the male having made off from the offence location.

We are continuing to pursue outstanding offenders whilst also carrying out engagement work in the community and working closely with our partner agencies, in particular TDC Housing within the Dane Valley and Salmestone wards.

Don't forget that the next Police surgery is coming up on November 17th from 1-3pm on 17th November.
